I first heard about this book while I was listening to a sermon past Marker Driscoll, pastor of "Mars Hill" Church in Seattle. I remember him telling his congregation that this was the best volume to get if they wanted to know what the bible says about family and marriage. He even said that his church building required everyone getting married to read this book for premarital counseling. When I heard that I thought to myself "this must exist a pretty good resources if it can do all that." Well it has been and that is why I recommend it commencement on my list equally a comprehensive book on what the whole bible has to say on the topic of family and spousal relationship.

Past the way, this book is more than geared towards the intermediate to advanced reader. Kostenberger interacts with different interpretations which means that he is sometimes forced to talk nigh the original language of the text (Greek and Hebrew). Just don't let this scare yous abroad from buying this book. This is still a very readable book (fifty-fifty when he talks nearly the original languages) and whatsoever level reader will still be able to gain a lot from reading it.
