5. I've safely fired bi-metal and copper jacketed .223 and steel core M43 ball at fixed and swinging AR 500 targets as close as 25 yards.

   Both the fixed and swinging targets are set to have virtually a x degree angle to deflect the splatter downwards. In that location is no significant difference between the .223 and M43 with respect to the tiny marks left in the face of the plate.

   I was told i could employ a sawsall to cut tires and they are not so different from conveyer belt materials. Tires even have steel belts to brand them tougher.

8. My buddy shot himself in the stomach with a 38. The bullet bounced off of steel. He drove himself to the hospital. He had a prissy meeting with LE. A footling question and answer time. No problem. He was a niggling gun shy after that. Can say as I blame him. Googles and wanting to buy a bullet proof vest.
   I don't know the distance or if it was a jacketed bullet. I'll enquire him next time I run across him. He sold the plate at garage auction. {{{=-)
